Thanks to this technology, which combines with a raft of mechanical and aerodynamic improvements, customers can profit from additional tax benefits in many European countries. The Astra ecoFLEX is powered by the economical, multivalve 70 kW/95 hp 1.3 CDTI turbo diesel engine. Offering a comfortable torque of 190 Nm between 1,750 and 3,250 rpm, it uses a common rail, multiple fuel injection system working at a pressure of 1,600 bar and a turbo charger with variable geometry. It also receives a new E59 control unit, and its improved exhaust gas recirculation module (EGR) is now water-cooled to help reducing emissions. In addition, it is fitted with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) as standard. The Astra 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX is mated to a five-speed manual transmission optimized to obtain great fuel economy.
While the 5-door hatchback 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX version is available with and without Start/Stop system, the new Sports Tourer always receives it. Its fuel consumption is of 4.1 l/100 km for emissions of 109 g/km CO2.
All Astra 1.3 CDTI ecoFLEX improve their aerodynamic performance using an active aero shutter fitted to the front grille: It opens to allow air to pass the engine at low vehicle speeds and then automatically closes at higher speeds to smoothen the airflow at the front of the car. This system is complemented by carefully-tuned underside aerodynamics. To optimize fuel economy, a ‘shift-up' indicator is fitted in the main instrument cluster. This item is offered on all Astra versions equipped with a manual transmission.

There is no doubt that BMW 7 Series is the BMW absolute and unconditional leader, even when it comes in the Long Version. Needless to say, when the Bavarian-based TUNINGWERK company from Puchheim in Munich area tries its hand at this super car, we can most definitely say it is a very special event.
Engine power - that is, in two power amplifier stages - is a top priority for this well-established blue-and-white bannered "tuning smithery". We are talking here first and foremost about greater power augmentation. After a little revitalization at TUNINGWERK the 7 Series is going by the NR 7s nickname and features almost breathtaking power specifications. Quite obviously, that this upgrade was aimed at building up horsepower. It produces 720 BHP with the maximum torque of 1,090 Nm. The flat-out is reached at 350 km/hr as well as the really "smooth" acceleration from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 3.5 seconds with the weight of roughly 2 tons seem very convincing.
Equipped with a 5- or 6-gear sport automatic transmission, the unique Carbon Ceramic brake system featuring 396 mm ceramic brake disks for the front axle and only slightly smaller ones for the back axle saves about 70 kg revolving mass in a streamlined teamwork with wheel disks and tyres. Spyker C8 line has been around for a couple years now. The C8 Aileron prototype concept car was shown to great critical reception at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2008, but Geneva 2009 brings the full, glorious introduction of the next generation C8 model, the 2009 Spyker C8 Aileron.
The second-generation C8, of which the Aileron is the first edition, keeps the classic Spyker design details intact. It is a car with functional and ornamental scoops, inlets and outlets in all the right places, but unlike the C8 Laviolette and Spyder before it, the 2009 C8 Aileron doesn't look overburdened with too many flashy design details.
The general design theme set forth by the Aileron has shifted to echoing the turbine engines found on classic airplanes. The turbine theme extends to the air intakes, lighting, exterior venting and details, and most of all in the knockout-gorgeous 19 inch multispoke the wheels.
The C8 Aileron "Aeroblade" 19s, which are some of the most beautiful wheels ever featured on a production car, show a 10-spoke design that does justice to the claim that they are styled like the blades of jet engines. Peugeot has unveiled the Peugeot 4008, an SUV which completes its range of vehicles “suited to the various expectations of all-terrain customers,” according to the firm.
A total of four engines are available – a 1.6-litre petrol with 114bhp, a 2.0-litre 148bhp petrol and two diesels (1.6 and 1.8-litre) with 110bhp and 148bhp respectively. For European markets, however, only the diesels are offered, both of which are mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard.
Although Peugeot has not confirmed the SUV’s arrival to Britain, the 4008 will only be offered in 4x4 guise in Europe – a system with three selectable driving modes, including two-wheel drive, four-wheel drive and ‘Lock’.
Based on the 4007 platform, the Peugeot 4008 features 300mm shorter front and rear overhangs, while keeping its predecessor’s long wheelbase and wide tracks to maximise cabin space.
External features of the Peugeot 4008 include 18-inch alloys, a vertical grille, flared wheel arches, sill protectors and LED daylight running lamps that “complement the headlamps”.
Inside, the new SUV’s cabin gets a glass panoramic roof, a touch-screen navigation system and reversing camera.
Pricing for the Peugeot 4008 has not been announced.

With its seventh model line, SKODA is entering the small vehicle segment. The SKODA Citigo will be launched on the Czech market in late 2011. Market launches in Europe scheduled for the beginning of summer 2012.

The Citigo will debut on the domestic Czech market this year. Other European countries will follow at the beginning of summer 2012.
